I just learned that the orders for school sweatshirts and t-shirts will be put in on Monday.  If you would like to order one get your form in first thing Monday morning.  There will be another time to order later in the year if you want to wait.  I have attached the form if you need one.

Sherwood Charter will be participating in the Valley Family matinee
program again this Fall.  Our school receives $3.00 from every pack of tickets
we sell at $9.00 each.  Attached is the schedule of movies with several
show times available at the Valley Theatre only.

Children 3yrs to 18 yrs need a ticket for each movie, however, adults
with ticketed children are free.  Tickets are $9.00 for packets of 10 movies
(includes a free adult ticket for later use).

Please include the attached order form with your check (payable to SCS
PAC).

This week’s calendar and newsletter are attached along with a Press Release from Sherwood High School Booster Club.

I want to point out an item you should all read in the newsletter about Oct. 14th.  I have pasted it below and have attached an updated calendar.
 
Calendar Change
Please note the change of October 14th from a ½ day for students to a non-student day.   This date is Statewide Inservice Day and there are several opportunities for our teachers to pursue. 
 
 
Subway Orders – Order forms for Oct. will be coming home next week.  Please note that they are due on Wednesdays, by the end of the day.  Subway only comes on one day to pick them up, so if your order comes after that your child will not get their lunch if their order is for the very next week.

Hi All,

Now that school is back in session it is time for some paperwork, so we are going to try emailing it to you.  Please fill out the attachments and return school.  If you have already filled it out just disregard this email.  I am really hoping to get the Directory form back soon so it can be put together and we can get it out to all of you very soon. 

Picture Day is Sept. 20^th.  Forms have been sent home so please look for them in backpacks.  Return the forms with your money to the classroom teacher by the morning of pictures.  Students can wear uniform or nicer clothing for pictures.

Hi Sherwood Charter School Parents,
Whether you are ready or not, SCHOOL STARTS WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 7TH AT 8AM.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone again.
 
I have attached a copy of the dress code, since we seem to have left off anklet colors.  They can be any solid color which is for anklets only.  Tights or knee highs can be white or navy blue.  Sorry for the oversight.
 
We have a family in Newberg who is looking for someone to carpool with.  Her name is Keta Bradford and her email address is keta@bradford1.com.  If you are interested please send her an email.

Hi Sherwood Charter School Parents,
Mrs. Smith has written a letter to update families about what has been going on this summer.  I have attached it for you to read.  Please note that there will be a Meet and Greet with teachers on Thurs., Sept. 1st from 10-11:30.  You can also drop off your school supplies at that time.  There is a staff lunch at 11:30 so please plan to be heading out at that time.
 
I have also attached some information for our new families about how our carline operates.  I will have carline numbers available for you pick up when you come on the 1st.  If you are not able to come that day we will give them to the students on the first day of school.
